History
After the fall of the city of Asgard,[1] the Asgardians rebuilt it where it had fallen, and incorporated the remains of New York City into it, creating New Asgard.[2] It is unknown how large it actually is, but it encompasses at least from what used to be New York State to Massachusetts.
Alternate Universe Versions
Amalgam Pocket Universe (Earth-9602)

On Earth-9602, New Asgard is the homeworld of the Asgods/New Asgardians ruled by Odin the Highfather, across the Bifrost Bridge from its twin realm Apokolips. Years ago it formed an uneasy truce with Apokolips with Odin sending his own son L'ok D'saad to Apokolips and Thanoseid's dead son Orion resurrected by Odin in New Asgard as Thorion the Hunter. A settlement of New Asgard, Super Town, is inhabited by the Un-People.[3]
Notes:
- This version of New Asgard is the amalgamation of Asgard and New Genesis.
- Unrelated to other versions of New Asgard.
Odin plunged Earth into an Ice Age (Earth-98101)
On Earth-98101 New Asgard was established in the place of what was once New York City after the Asgardians were trapped in Midgard when the Bifrost and Asgard were reported destroyed. This was in fact a ruse by Loki, but Odin knew it and allowed Loki to keep the Old Asgard for himself anyway, for the Kingdom was no good to him with the subjects to manipulate.[4]
