History
Reality of the 1980's cartoons Spider-Man, Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends, and Incredible Hulk respectively.[2]
Two comic book one-shots were adapted from these cartoons Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends #1 and Incredible Hulk versus Quasimodo #1 were based on the episodes "Triumph of the Green Goblin" and "When Monsters Meet".Residents
Notes
- Spider-Man: Back in Black Handbook #1 identified the universe of Amazing Friends by its two incarnations of Videoman.
- Both Spider-Man and Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends aired around the same time. Perhaps the strongest hint they were the same reality occurred during the Amazing Friends episode "The Prison Plot", in which Peter Parker has a flashback of a previous encounter he had (as Spider-Man) with Magneto which is taken from the episode "When Magneto Speaks, People Listen" from the other series.
- Though Spider-Man was actually made before Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends, the two cartoons initially aired around the same time; because of this, some characters' chronological debuts are out of order, including those of Captain America, Thor, Namor, Kraven the Hunter, the Kingpin, Chameleon, and the Green Goblin.
