The reality where Blade movie trilogy and its sequel TV series take place.[1][2]
Notes
- In addition to the Blade movie trilogy and its sequel TV series, Earth-26320's continuity also includes Blade and Blade II video games, with the first one being a prequel to the first film and the second picking up after the events seen in the Blade II movie, Blade (Cybercomic) #1, Blade: Sins of the Father #1, Blade: Nightstalking #1 and Blade Trinity Manga Doujinshi #1 comic books, and Blade: Blood Thirsty animated short.
- During the development of Blade: Trinity, a spin-off focused on the Nightstalkers was on the table,[3] but the film's unsatisfactory box office performance put these plans to an end. Tony Emmerich, the New Line Cinema exec, said that the release of the spin-off could depend on the DVD and video rentals and sales,[4][5] but they were not convincing enough to give the project a green light. Ryan Reynolds, Jessica Biel and David S. Goyer have expressed interest, with Reynolds and Biel having another appearance in the Blade franchise in the contract.[6][7]
- In 2004, the Blade animated series by Lionsgate and CinéGroupe, billed as being based on a film series, was set to air on MTV.[5] An unrelated Blade animated series premiered in 2011.
- In 2008, Stephen Dorff announced that he would reprise his role as Deacon Frost in a prequel trilogy, the first part of which was due to begin filming in 2009 with Stephen Norrington, director of the original Blade movie, attached to direct.[8] However, it was shelved, and the Blade film rights returned to Marvel Studios a few years later.
- According to Kate Beckinsale, a crossover between Blade and Underworld was considered.[9]
- A divergent version of Earth-26320, where Deacon Frost's plan of turning people around the world into vampires was successful, is seen in Darkhold: Blade #1.
Trivia
- Hulk and the Avengers appear to be fictional in the world of Earth-26320.[10] This reality has its own version of Marvel Comics that, like in the real world, published the Tomb of Dracula comic book series, with Tomb of Dracula #55 being demonstrated in Blade: Trinity.
