The Kree invaded and conquered the Earth, transforming it into a forward operating base in the Kree-Skrull War. Most of the human population was wiped out, including all enhanced individuals. While scavenging for supplies, Miles Morales got bitten a spider which gave him the powers of the late Spider-Man whose name Miles took in his honor. Together with his uncle Aaron Davis he undertook a daring mission to disable the scanners on a Kree warship which would allow the survivors to flee the area undetected. Aaron rigged the entire ship to explode, but Miles convinced him to hold off from doing that in favor of only disabling the scanners. Unfortunately, the stealth approach failed and Aaron as fatally wounded, dying in Miles' arms. Hardened by the loss, Miles exploded the ship as Aaron had planned. He then changed his name and costume to become Spider-Prowler in his memory.^[1]
