History
On Earth-21766, the Fantastic Four acquired their powers in 1961 and in the process, Reed Richards discovered Galactus is headed to devour Earth at some undetermined time. In the subsequent decades, Reed tried to convince a skeptical government to help defend against the arrival of Galactus.[1]
Notes
- Prior to being given an official reality number, this universe was referred as Earth-TRN890 as a part of our Temporary Reality Numbers classification system.
- Fantastic Four: Life Story does not take place on Earth-19529, the reality of Spider-Man: Life Story.[2][3]
- An example of the difference between Earth-19529 and Earth-21766 is how the Cold War played out on both worlds. On Earth-19529, relations between the US and the Soviet Union deteriorated to a point where a war broke out in 1984 that destroyed Allentown, PA.[4] On Earth-21766, the conflict was still a Cold War in 1984 that almost escalated in 1986, but was stopped by the Fantastic Four and other heroes and led to the US and Soviet Union agreeing to a complete nuclear disarmament.[5]
