Crimea is a peninsula on the northern coast of the Black Sea in Eastern Europe that is almost completely surrounded by both the Black Sea, and the smaller Sea of Azov to the northeast.
History
Origins
Modern Crimea was named after the pure-blooded Cimmerian clans (who came to be the Gaels, ancestors of the Irish and Highland Scotch).[1]
14th Century
Around 6 to 7 hundred years ago,[2][3] a population of three hundred "Proto-Mutants" (a "early" form of mutants with "less evolved"[4] X-Genes) lived in mountains of Crimea. Due to the Black Plague affecting humans but not those mutants, the later were targeted by the former, seeking for a cure or simply because of fear and anger, and were eventually all killed.[5]
19th Century
Crimean War
The war lasted from 1854 to 1856 was fought by an alliance of the British Empire, French Empire, Ottoman Empire and Sardinia against Russian Empire. During the war a soldier tired of fighting witnesses the "Charge of the Light Brigade" which reinvigorates his fighting spirit.[6] Walter Destine served in the British Army during the war.[7]See Also
