Belize was a country on the eastern coast of Central America. It was bordered on the north by Mexico, on the south and west by Guatemala, and on the east by the Caribbean Sea. It's capital city was Belmopan, while it's largest is Belize City. It was a formerly part of the British Empire known as British Honduras.

Wolverine and Blade fought each other in a temple in Belize, each thinking the other was the messiah for the Creed vampire cult. This was based on a scroll that prophesized the messiah's last battle and showed the two of them fighting. Only when Blade used a weapon specifically designed to hurt vampires, Wolverine realized that something was wrong and the two of them clarified that neither one was the vampire messiah. That's when Varkis, a vampiric clone of Wolverine showed up, who was the real messiah for the Creed cult all along. Working together, Blade and Wolverine managed to kill Varkis. Afterwards, Blade used explosives to blow up the temple.[4]
