
The Bahamas, officially the Commonwealth of The Bahamas, was an English-speaking nation consisting of two thousand cays and seven hundred islands that form an archipelago. It was located in the Atlantic Ocean, east of Florida and the United States, north of Cuba and the Caribbean Sea, and northwest of the British overseas territory of the Turks and Caicos Islands.
History
20th Century
In March 1941, Captain America assigned to safeguard President Roosevelt during a fishing trip in the Bahamas, the newly commissioned Cap endures his baptism under fire. while a Nazi U-boat carrying the Nazi super-soldier called Der Wunderkrieger heads for the islands. He was to kidnap the Duke of Windsor, and sit him on the throne of a defeated Great Britain.[1]
In 1948, Captain America (Jeffrey Mace) vacationed in the Bahamas. He was forced to seek shelter during a storm he ended up on the secluded island where wanted murderer John Barton lived. Barton confessed his crimes to Captain America and died soon after.[2]
Modern Age
The original Captain America, Steve Rogers later shared a romantic vacation with Sharon Carter in the Bahamas.[3]
Anthony Stark owned a personal villa, with retinue and staff, in the Bahamas, although he rarely visited Mi Casa. He spent a vacation there with some friends, during which he was attacked by the high-tech villain, Force,[4] under orders of rival tycoon Justin Hammer.[5]Points of Interest
