Ayodhya was the capital city of Vendhya during the Hyborian Age.[2]
Notes
- Ayodhya is a city in India, and was one of the capital cities of the ancient kingdom of Kosala (and was itself known as "Kosala").[4]
- Presumably inspired by the Indian city, Ayodhya was created by Robert E. Howard in "The People of the Black Circle" (Weird Tales, September, October and November 1934), adapted in Savage Sword of Conan #16 (December, 1976).
- In the Hyborian Age, Yota-Pong was the capital city of Kosala instead, while Ayodhya was the capital city of Vendhya, the early incarnation of India.
