Peter Tosh (birth name: Winston McIntosh October 19, 1944 - September 11, 1987) was a Jamaican reggae musican. He was a member of the Wailers along with Bob Marley and Bunny Livingston. He was a Rastafarian and sang politically themed songs. His songs were considerably more radical those of his band member Bob Marley, whom he often critized for selling out to the white mainstream. He pursued a solo career, releasing his first album 'Legalize It' in 1976 and his last 'No Nuclear War' in 1989. He also toured with the Rolling Stones and sang a duet with Mick Jagger. He was murdered in his home in Kingston during a robbery in 1987.
