The Coin Box is a new item in Mario Kart Tour. When activated, it spews Coins onto the track, allowing nearby racers to get a small speed boost.
This item is a special item and only owned by Mario (Hakama), Pink Gold Peach, Peach (Vacation), Pauline (Party Time), Gold Koopa (Freerunning), Dry Bones (Gold), Rosalina (Swimwear), King Boo (Gold), Bowser (Santa), Mario (King), Yoshi (Gold Egg), Daisy (Thai Dress), Larry (Wintertime), Kamek, Question Block Mii Racing Suit, Chargin' Chuck (Gold), Petey Piranha (Gold and Gold Mii Racing Suit.
The enhanced version/Coin Box+ (which is unlocked if the driver's level/skill is over Level 4) can drop more coins and have a chance to drop some red coins.
