Wreck-It Ralph is a 2012 computer-animated comedy film created by Disney and Walt Disney Animation Studios. The film contains cameo background appearances of several video game characters, including a NES controller, Bowser, and the Super Mushroom item.
Trivia
- Mario along with Luigi were going to appear in the first movie, but never made it as writers stated they couldn't think of a suitable way to incorporate them.[1] There was also plans for Piranha Plant initially set to make appearance in the film, but were eventually cut. Instead they brought Bowser.
- Ralph’s voice actor, John C. Reilly joked that the Mario Bros. do not appear because Nintendo stated a high fee to legally add them to the movie.
- Mario was originally gonna to appear in the sequel Ralph Breaks the Internet, but never got included again.[2][3] However a ? Blocks is shown in the movie.
- Despite Mario not appear in Wreck-It Ralph, he is mentioned by Felix.
