Rome Avanti 2 is a race course from Mario Kart Tour. It and Rome Avanti 1 made their debut during the 2023 Night Tour. As its name implies, Rome Avanti 2 is the second layout of Rome Avanti.
Layout
Rome Avanti 2's layout focuses on the Villa Borghese gardens and the Spanish Steps. The racers start in the Via del Corso, but this time, they face the roundabout at la Piazza del Pópolo (Plaza of the Populace), entering it from the south. There, the racers make a sharp right to get out of the roundabout to the southeast, which leads to the Piazza di Spagnès (Plaza of Spain). Afterwards, they make a left turn to go into the Villa Borghese gardens, where they make a U-turn around a lake near the Témpio Esculapiósio (Temple of Aesculapius). After this, the racers pass between the Flaminio Obelisk and the Porta del Pópolo as they get back to the Piazza del Pópolo, going down a drop as they enter from the east direction. They make a slight left as they go through the roundabout again, entering the Piazza Navona to the southwest. They can either drive left or right, though Rocky Wrenches haunt this area. After the road meets up, the racers go through the Campo de Fioris (Field of Flowers), where they must make a sharp left turn, going around the Monumento to Giordano Bruno, although they can take a shortcut through a market. They then drive through a thin road to the right of the Bocca dellès Veritatus (Mouth of Truth). This area is followed by a right and left turn which the racers use to get back to the starting line.
Mario Kart 8's iteration starts with this route being traversed backwards until the racers reach a turnoff with Rome Avanti 1's stairs connecting to la Piazza Navona; they turn right onto this staircase, then enter the roundabout at la Piazza del Pópolo from the southwest, circling around it and taking the southeastern exit. Afterwards, they follow the eastern lobe forwards, entering the roundabout from the east after the drop. They circle around the roundabout again before going out the south exit to get back to the starting line.
