Noshi

Noshi^{[citation needed]} is a large blue Brachiosaurus-like Dinosaur in Dino Dino Jungle in the Mario Kart series, debuting in Mario Kart: Double Dash!! Noshi is so large it actually creates two different hazards: its feet are constantly stomping and will spin you out if you even bump into them. They also guard some Item Boxes and Double Item Boxes making for a rough gamble. Noshi's head is also seen at the top of the course hovering over the bridge of the track. Running into it's head will cause you to spin out so watch out, don't worry though, Noshi will not eat you. It's a vegetarian. In the waters are some other dinosaurs resembling Noshi can also be seen, these Dinosaurs however are too far to be considered hazards.

In Mario Kart 7, Dino Dino Jungle returns, along with Noshi, but not its relatives found in the waters. It still stomps around as before however, it's feet now act like walls and are only hazardous if you are underneath them. As a result, getting the Item Boxes (along with the new Coins) is now much easier. The head at the top also acts as a wall but it's now higher and will be out of reach if you don't use the Glide Panel.
