Mario's Letter is one of Mario's five missing items, along with Mario's Hat, Mario's Glove, Mario's Star, and Mario's Shoe, and must be taken to Madame Clairvoya to help her figure out Mario's whereabouts. Mario's Letter is located inside a little birdhouse in the Courtyard.

In the Nintendo 3DS version's Hidden Mansion, Mario's Letter is instead located inside of the desk in The Twins' Room.
