MARIO FACTORY

MARIO FACTORY is a game making tool for the GAME PROCESSOR and currently the only known software for it. MARIO FACTORY had multiple base games that could be edited the make new games; each game was a different genre. The user could edit the graphics, audio, and could reprogram the game using a custom programming language. Much like Super Mario Maker, the user can play their game, pause, and make edits right then and there. After the user was done making their game, they could put it on a GAME PROCESSOR RAM Cassette to play their game on a regular Super Famicom. The program is currently lost.

Title

According to sheet 22 of the US patent, the clicking on various icons on the title screen will navigate to their corresponding location.[1]

  • Clicking on the file icon will navigate to the file select.
  • Clicking on the network icon will navigate to the network.
  • Clicking on the tool box icon will navigate to the tool box.
  • Clicking on the game icon will navigate to the Model-soft play menu.
  • Clicking on the config icon will navigate to the mouse/keyboard config.

Mario Bros.

MarioFactoryMarioBros

This version of Mario Bros. was created by Nintendo to teach people MARIO FACTORY worked. It is a remake of the arcade game of the same name. The sprites made were later used in the Game Boy Advance remake of Mario Bros. that appeared in Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga and all four games in the Super Mario Advance series.


The following six games were made by students of HAL College of Technology & Design using MARIO FACTORY that were later streamed on Satellaview.

EASY RACER

EasyRacer

EASY RACER is a top down racing game with Mario and Luigi. The game supports multiplayer and the ability to play against a computer. There are four tracks. The first track is a simple square loop. The second track is similar but with a shortcut in the middle. The third track is a loop with several sharp turns. The fourth track is a rotated L with two water holes in the track, driving into one of the holes causes the player to reset the lap.

SweetHoneyAction!

SweetHoneyAction

SweetHoneyAction! is a single screen action-platformer with multiple levels where the player starts out with five lives, each life indicated at the bottom of the screen, and must defeat every enemy. When every enemy is defeated, a blue orb spawns somewhere on the screen; the player must touch the blue orb to clear the level. According to the developer, it was made by modifying the Mario Bros. sample.[2]

PAずLE & BREっど

Puzzleandbread

PAずLE & BREっど, which translates to Puzzle & Bread, is a puzzle game, similar to sokoban, where the player, who controls a witch, must push blocks into holes or out of the way to reach a piece of bread. There are four known puzzles for the player to clear.

FLOWER

FLOWER

FLOWER is a game where the player controls a character and a pointer. The character is a girl dressed in black, and briefly turns into an angel when hit by a snake. While controlling the character, the player must jump over snake enemies. While controlling the pointer, the player must shoot the snakes with a red object to launch the snake up. There is a purple creature at the top of the screen repeatedly shooting a different red object. The player must time launching up the snake to hit the red object shot by the purple creature.

ラジパズ

RadioPuzzle

ラジパズ , which translates to Radio Puzzle, is a puzzle game with four different colored blocks, red, green, yellow, and blue, and one radio block. If a block is placed next to a radio block, it will disappear, a certain amount of blocks must disappear to clear the stage. The player places blocks in sets of two, much like Dr. Mario. Unlike Dr. Mario each individual block in the set has will fall independently from the other block in the set. The player can see the next set in the top left corner.

WONDERFULmyrace

WONDERFULmyrace

WONDERFULmyrace is a singleplayer game played as a blue car in a maze avoiding other cars. The goal is to collect all flags scattered throughout the maze. When this goal is met, the player can move on to the next level.
