Key-pa-Way is a 4-player mini-game that appears in Mario Party. Key-pa-Way is a unique mini-game as it requires all the characters to work together as a team.
Gameplay
At the beginning of the mini-game, one character is handed a giant Bowser key. At the end of the room, there is a giant keyhole with a barrel in front of it. Scattered around the room are five spiked Koopas. The character with the key must make their way to the keyhole that is located in the center of the room. The Spiked Koopas will try to attack the characters, and steal the key from them. The character with the key can throw the key to the other players. However, if one of the Spiked Koopas manage to get ahold of the key then all the characters will lose the mini-game. The mini-game ends when the key is inserted into the keyhole. If the characters fail to get the key to the keyhole, then each of them will lose five coins. However, if they manage to get the key into the keyhole, they will be rewarded ten coins apiece.
