The Drill Shell is a new Bros. Attack in Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam. Being a Special Attack, it costs five Special Points (BP) to perform. Luigi is its initiator. Unlike most of his Bros. Attacks, this move's target is a single foe.

Procedure

Luigi starts the attack by putting the titular item on his head. Mario then picks up Luigi and then dunks him into the target foe. Luigi then has to spin the drill on his head to grind the enemy up to deal further damage.

Controls

During the first phase, press A to slam down as the Bros. pass over their target. The second phase is initiated when Luigi slams down. Mash B to continue dealing more damage.

Ratings

If he was slightly off target, Luigi will start with an Okay! rating. If he was on-target, the move starts with a Good! rating. Getting 10 hits increases the rating by one level and 20 hits increases the rating by two levels.
