Dark Tortoises are a bipedal tortoise-like enemy featured in Virtual Boy Wario Land. They only appear in Stage 6.
Dark Tortoises wear a shuriken-like object on their head, and attack Wario by picking it off and throwing it at him. The object spins for a while before returning to the Dark Tortoise in the same manner as a boomerang. Wario can defeat a Dark Tortoise by either Ground Pounding its head or by doing a Dash Attack on its side.
