First Love

First Love is the title track of Solar's digital single album Solar Emotion Part.8, and was first released as part of the album on October 29, 2024 at 6 PM KST.^[1] The song is part of her project Solar Emotion.

On November 11, 2024, the song was announced to be temporarily discontinued, being taken down from music streaming services while its MV on YouTube is set to private; RBW claimed that this is due to internal circumstances.^[2] This is later confirmed to be a copyright issue, and that the song is permanently discontinued from service.^[3]

Description

"First Love" is a Korean reinterpretation of the 1999 Japanese song of the same name by Hikaru Utada.^[4] In particular, Solar is the first domestic and foreign artist to officially remake "First Love", and she also directly participated in the process of rewriting the lyrics in Korean.^[5]
