Parchment was used by a variety of characters throughout the Malazan World to write on or as wrapping material. Although phrases such as 'paperwork' were used, in most instances when actual writing was taking place, parchment was mentioned. It was commonly rolled up into a scroll and tied with string.[1]
In Gardens of the Moon
Crokus Younghand carried oiled parchment amongst his thieving tools.[2]
Mammot was scrawling on a piece of parchment when Crokus dropped in on him.[3]
Baruk used to get parchment missives from The Eel.[4]
Circle Breaker used parchment.[5]
