Karashimesh (or Karaschimesh)[1] was one of Seven Cities' holy cities. It was an ancient city[2] located on the northern shore of the Karas Sea.[3]
Kalam Mekhar worked in Karashimesh during his pre-Imperial days with his partner Porthal K'nastra.[4]
It was said that Sergeant Borduke once threw a nobleborn officer off a cliff near Karashimesh.[5]
Hyenas were sometimes spotted in the area, a rare sight east of Aren.[6]

Karashimesh was one of several ancient cities in the centre of the Seven Cities subcontinent that were home to a mostly subjugated people characterised by blonde hair, heart-shaped faces, and blue eyes. It was implied they were the remnants of the original people of the First Empire as they shared these physical characteristics with the people of the Kingdom of Lether, a one-time First Empire colony. Other cities whose populations included these remnant peoples were Halaf, Guran, and Omari.[2]
