Estav Kendar

Estav Kendar was a Tiste Edur Preda garrisoned in the town of Rennis on the western coast of the Letherii Empire. He was a member of the Beneda clan and was the eldest of four brothers, the youngest of whom was Trantalo Kendar.^[1] He wore a woolen cloak.^[2]

In Reaper's Gale

Estav led a troop of twelve Edur riders to Boaral Keep after the Rennis garrison headquarters received Yan Tovis' report of a disturbance there requiring Edur adjudication. The Tiste Edur complement included ten veteran Tiste Edur warriors and his young brother, Trantalo. Arriving at the seemingly deserted Keep at sunset, Estav and the rest of his group unexpectedly encountered Hellian and Urb's two squads of Bonehunters, who made short work of the Tiste Edur warriors. Estav was the first to die after Lutes fired a Crossbow bolt into his chest. The Bonehunter made the exceptional shot while balancing his weapon on the drunken Hellian's back as she vomited. Trantalo died trying to reach his brother's body.^[3]
