Bareth Solitude was a vast plain on the western frontier of Kurald Galain. It was crossed by ancient beach ridges of water-worn limestone cobbles that ran for leagues, but were relatively shallow. The Tiste tutor, Sagander, declared that these features were evidence of an inland sea that had taken thousands of years to die.[1]
Beyond the Solitude were the lands of the Azathanai, Jaghut, and Thel Akai.[2][3]
In Forge of Darkness
Draconus crossed the Bareth Solitude to the lands of the Azathanai and the Tower of Hate with his son Arathan. They were accompanied by a group of Borderswords as well as Sergeant Raskan and Sagander.[4]
