Rikiel is a minor antagonist in the manga JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean and its anime adaptation. He is one of the illegitimate sons of Dio Brando, conceived with the body of Jonathan Joestar, who allied with Enrico Pucci to stop Jolyne and her friends from interfering in his plans.
He is voiced by Makoto Furukawa in Japanese and by Ben Balmaceda in English.
What Makes Him Magnificent?
- While he was insecure and nervous before meeting Pucci, it was only due to his latent Stand powers manipulating things without his awareness.
- Once Pucci awakens his Stand, Sky High, he becomes more confident and resourceful.
- While Jolyne, Ermes and Emporio were flying using a helicopter, Rikiel covertly attacked them using Sky High and nearly killed them, if not for Emporio's quick thinking.
- Despite being caught off-guard as Jolyne and Ermes figure out how his Stand works, he recovered from it and quickly attacked them.
- Noting Emporio's analytical skills and Ermes's strength, Rikiel managed to take both of them out of the fight.
- Cornered Jolyne using his bike and attacked her using Sky High, which Jolyne only countered by lighting herself in fire, which Rikiel honestly couldn't anticipate.
- Realizing that Jolyne has an advantage due to Sky High unable to suck too much heat, Rikiel became inspired to defeat her by lighting himself on fire as well, trying to analyse how to defeat her.
- Intercepted Jolyne's barrage at the hands of Stone Free and numbs his face to avoid targeting himself with his final attack, and nearly cornered Jolyne, only losing due to luck, which even Jolyne acknowledged.
- Had a dignified defeat with him calmly warning about Pucci and how he is close to success, with Ermes only knocking him out so that Jolyne won't lose her confidence in her goals.
- Compared to the other two sons of DIO, Ungalo and Donatello Versus, Rikiel is more sympathetic in comparison, unlike the self-absorbed Donatello Versus and sadistic Ungalo.
What Makes Him a Baddie?
- Allied with Enrico Pucci to fulfill his ambitions to use Made in Heaven to reset the universe.
- Tried to kill Jolyne, Ermes and Emporio, the latter being a young boy.
- Despite the fact that Jolyne is his great-great-great-niece, he holds no care for her even though they are family.
Trivia
- Rikiel is the only Magnificent Baddie to come from Stone Ocean, though Enrico Pucci is likely to count.
- Rikiel, along with Giorno Giovanna, are the only MBs who are the (biological) sons of DIO.
