Traits

Traits provide small bonuses to your character upon creation of them. Your character has two traits, which can be changed by clicking on a trait to cycle through it. Left-clicking a trait will replace it with the next trait while right-clicking will replace it with the previous trait. You cannot have two copies of the same trait, except Woodcutter (see Bugs section below). The Traits below are in order of the cycle.

Name Effect
Woodcutter 50% chance your Axe will not lose durability when chopping a tree.
Miner 50% chance your Pick will not lose durability when mining ore.
Gatherer 50% chance to collect twice as many ingredients when gathering. (Note: This only pertains to grass patches.)
Potion Brewer 50% chance to craft big potions with only basic ingredients.
Artisan +10% chance of crafting Enchanted weapons and gear
Aggressive +2 ATK, -2 DEX (see Bugs section below)
Defensive +4 HP, -2 ATK (see Bugs section below)
Swift +4 DEX (see Bugs section below)
Healthy +4 HP (see Bugs section below)
Big Eater Hunger cap is increased from 8 to 12 (see Bugs section below)
Intelligent +8 MAG (see Bugs section below)
Lockmaster Allows you to open Golden Chests
Pickpocket Absolutely nothing (see Bugs section below)

Bugs

Woodcutter

  • Woodcutter is the only Trait that you can have twice. Even more surprising, you can only get to the second Woodcutter by left-clicking the Pickpocket Trait (trying to right-click the Miner Trait will just go to the Pickpocket Trait).
    • Double Woodcutter has the same effect as just one Woodcutter.
  • Woodcutter has a different description in the character creation screen ("50% chance your axe will not lose durability") than in the inventory screen ("Chops down trees quicker").

Miner

  • Miner has a different description in the character creation screen ("50% chance your pick will not lose durability") than in the inventory screen ("Mines ores quicker").

Artisan

  • Artisan has a different description in the character creation screen ("+10 LCK when crafting weapons or gear") than in the inventory screen ("Higher chance at crafting rare weapons and gear").

Aggressive

  • Despite Aggressive's in-game description saying "+2 ATK -1DEF" in the character creation screen and "+2 ATK -1 HP" in the inventory screen, the Trait actually does "+2 ATK -2 DEX".
    • The -2 DEX can bring you to a -1 DEX total if you start with 2 DEX and also are the Pigfolk Race. Shooting an enemy with an arrow will still always do a minimum of 1 damage, even though a Stone Arrow would theoretically do 0 damage.

Defensive

  • Despite Defensive's in-game description saying "+4 HP -1 ATK", the Trait actually does "+4 HP -2 ATK".
    • The -2 ATK can bring you to a -1 ATK total if you start with 2 ATK and also are the Pigfolk Race. Attacking an enemy with a melee attack will still always do a minimum of 1 damage, even though your fist would theoretically do -1 damage.

Swift

  • Despite Swift's in-game description saying "+2 DEX", the Trait actually does "+4 DEX".

Healthy

  • Despite Healthy's in-game description saying "+2 HP", the Trait actually does "+4 HP".

Big Eater

  • Despite Big Eater's in-game description saying "Hunger Cap is doubled", the Trait actually increases the Hunger Cap by 50% (from 8 to 12).
  • You still begin with only 8 bars filled.

Intelligent

  • Despite Intelligent's in-game description saying "+2 MAG", the Trait actually does "+8 MAG".

Lockmaster

  • Lockmaster has a different description in the character creation screen ("Allows you to open golden chests") than in the inventory screen ("Doesn't need a key when opening chests or locks").

Pickpocket

  • Despite Pickpocket's in-game description saying "Chance to steal gold from citizens by walking past them" in the character creation screen, it does absolutely nothing and even says "NULL" in the inventory screen.
