  The Jumping Shroom is found in the Veldt Biome.

Jumping shrooms seem to be the Veldt counterpart of slimes. Although they jump in slightly more rapid succession.

This monster jumps far more frequently than the relatively tame Green Slime and deals a great deal more damage. Defeating this monster with melee attacks while not taking damage is very doable, but requires more precise timing and movements from the hero. It is highly recommended that you have enough damage to kill the Jumping Shroom with a single melee attack.

The simplest way to kill the Jumping Shroom is to stand just outside of its jump range, and hope that it jumps towards you. If it does, simply hit it with a melee attack and kill it. If it jumps away from you, however, you will have to re-position yourself and hope and jumps towards you. This tactic is recommended for newer players who do not yet have a ranged weapon.

There is a more efficient and equally safe way to kill Jumping Shrooms, but it requires an understanding of how the melee attack works (the hero's melee attack deals damage as the weapon strikes downward, a few moments after clicking).

To use this method, stand just outside of the Jumping Shroom's jump radius. If it jumps towards you, simply attack and kill it. If it jumps away from you, run towards it immediately and time your weapon swing so that as soon as you are within melee range, your weapon comes down and hits the Jumping Shroom. As your weapon's swing is finishing, immediately change direction and move back outside of the Jumping Shroom's jump range. By mastering these timings, you can make an attack on a Shroom that has jumped away, then retreat back outside of its jump radius (in case you missed) before it has a chance to jump again. If it does jump towards you after you retreat, it should be within weapon range and be easy pickings.

If there are many Jumping Shrooms clustered together, your only option is to wait until the one furthest on the outside jumps towards you, as it is too risky to walk up to them, especially as their jumps are usually not synced perfectly.

And of course, if you have ranged weapons, use them.
