– Keeper of the Seeds (To The Dag) |
Seeds were a valuable commodity which the Keeper of the Seeds safeguarded after the fall of the Green Place. They were first seen in 2015's Mad Max: Fury Road and a seed was also seen in the prequel Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga.
History
The events of Mad Max: Fury Road center around a quest -- the Flight of Imperator Furiosa -- and her mission to free the Wives of Immortan Joe and to bring them to her childhood home known as the "Green Place."
Toward the end of the harried flight, the War Rig happens upon a steel tower with a naked woman seemingly trapped in the top. Max states that, "That's bait." Imperator Furiosa recognizes the ploy and proceeds to exit the rig, identifying herself while doing so. Valkyrie, her childhood friend form the Green Place, makes a special call which signals the others.
Furiosa learns that the women who set the trap are the Vuvalini of Many Mothers. They were from the Green Place, which no longer exists, only as a corrupted bog of toxic sludge.
However, the Keeper of the Seeds collected as many seeds as she could before the devastation to the Green Place. She carried them in a special satchel, like a doctor's bag.

– Mary Jabassa to Furiosa |
Furiosa carries a peach tree seed from the Green Place given to her by her mother, Mary Jabassa. The History Man claims that Furiosa told her that after killing Dementus, she took his body to the hydroponic gardens of the Citadel. There, she planted the seed within Dementus's corpse, creating a peach tree which fed off his flesh.
Mad Max: Fury Road

The Keeper of the Seeds and The Dag strike up a quick friendship. It is the Keeper who gives Dag hope when she laments that, "Warlord Junior . . . gonna be so ugly." The Keeper replies by stating that, "It could be a girl."
Once it is learned that the Green Place is no more, the group, eventually, makes a plan to head back to the Citadel in an attempt to take it. The Keeper of the Seeds rides in the War Rig. As they are attacked by Immortan Joe and his forces, the Keeper makes a noble attempt to fight back. But, ultimately, she is wounded in the neck and dies. Although, it is never stated directly, it was only natural through this fast friendship that The Dag take the seeds after the Keeper is killed.
