Jake Holling is Megaforce Black and Super Megaforce Green, the Black Ranger and Green Ranger of the Mega Rangers in Power Rangers Megaforce and Power Rangers Super Megaforce. He is the love interest of Gia Moran, Megaforce Yellow Ranger.
History
Jake Holling is outgoing, optimistic, fun-loving, proud and fearless when it comes to both the battlefield and social situations. He loves being the Black Ranger and saving the world with the help of his Snake Zord but sometimes he wishes he could make his superhero identity public. His one weak spot is his huge crush on the Yellow Ranger but he's determined to make her fall for him one day. His best friend is Noah. Jake and Noah find themselves literally standing in each other’s shoes when a body-swapping monster named Tranceferer switches the two Rangers so that they are inhabiting each other’s body.
He shouldn't be dismissed as just another class clown. He has a serious talent for bringing people together with a laugh and he always has an eye on the bright side. He also is a great soccer player.
Megaforce
In the series premiere episode, as the whole class discusses the topic 'species', Jake continues to be fascinated by his classmate and crush, Gia. After class, Jake drags Noah along to follow Gia to the BrainFreeze where they are spirited away to be recruited as rangers.
In the episode He Blasted me with Science, Jake finds Gia near her locker and asks to walk her home, asks her about her weekend plans and tries to get to know her before they notice flying saucers. He is flustered and ecstatic when he thinks Gia is hugging him as she puts her arm around him in order to reach her bag for her morpher that he was carrying. After the battle, Jake complimented Gia about how good they are as a team.
In the episode Robo Knight, Jake wants to be on Gia's team on the field trip. He later meets her by the locker trying to act cool and nonchalantly asks her on a froyo date.
In Dream Snatcher, the rangers watch the shooting stars, asking for a wish when Jake glances at Gia and smiles, indicating her asked a wish for them to be together.
Super Megaforce
Jake is seen to be jealous of Jayden, the Red Samurai Ranger whom Gia finds cute. When Orion joins the team, Gia & Emma take an instant liking to him and drag him to the mall to shop for him. Jake is jealous at the moment as well.
In the episode Love Is In the Air, Levira ends up falling in love with Jake as he's the first one she sees after Prince makes her drink the love potion. Later in the episode, a lovestruck Levira cheers Jake, with the latter insisting he likes someone else; in this case, it's Gia. Emma teases Gia saying "We all know who that is." In the end of the episode, at Ernie's Brainfreeze, the Rangers celebrate their victory of the day. When Jake attempts to ask Gia to go out with him after a nudge from Emma, he fails to do so when Noah interrupts, as he shows to the others of Jake's tricks he caught on camera earlier, where it went viral. The Rangers celebrate also for Jake's moment as the episode ends.
In the series finale, Gia finally openly reciprocates her feelings for Jake as she gives him a kiss on the cheek.
