Love (Japanese:ラブ lit. Rabu) is one of the titular characters of the Love and Berry Dress Up and Dance! franchise, alongside Berry, two best friends who are rivals when it comes to dressing up and dancing.

She is a playable character in all iterations of the arcade game, alongside Berry.

Characteristics

Love has a natural hazel bob in her default hairstyle and hair color. She also dark brown eyes and a fair skin tone. According to the website, her eyes and cheeks are her main charm points.

Love also has an affinity for cute and girly clothing. She also speaks in a more girly tone compared to Berry.

In her sleepwear (until the 2008 Japanese arcade version), she wears a pink traditional pajamas and a pair of comfort slippers. The pattern of her pajamas seems to be windowpane, and her name is embroidered on the left side of her shirt.

Street Court

Love's outfit is similar to the Baby Baggy Style, but has a white shirt with a different graphic print and brown baggy pants accented with a brown belt. Her Rainbow Sneakers' version is blue sneakers and red laces.

Fashion Street

Prior to the 2005 Autumn-Winter version, Love wears a recolored version of Pastel Fruity. The hoodie has an orange, blue, green, and white colorway and the shorts are beige. She also wears an orange version of Pastel Love Sneakers.

Her current Fashion Street outfit is a matching sleeveless hoodie and skirt with blue and orange accents. Her shoes has purple socks, gray-checked sneakers with a blue wing motif.

Disco

Love's outfit is based on the Go Go Mini One-Piece. It is a white-and-red halter neck dress with a blue belt accent. She wears a bracelet in a blue and white bead arrangement. Her shoes are a long and sleek black boots.

Seaside Stage

Prior to the 2005 Autumn-Winter version, Love's Pineapple Summer-inspired two-piece were of a white V-neck cropped tank top with blue layered tube top and a blue skirt accessorized with a white strap belt. Her boots are presumably based on Lace-Up Boots that lacks the laces and gains blue ribbons on the side of the boots.

Her current Seaside Stage outfit is of a colorful striped V-neck cropped tank top with purple layered tube top and a pink skirt accessorized with a white strap belt. Her boots are white and has purple ribbons on the side.

Idol Stage

Love wears a dress similar to Flowy Angel but is colored to blue and lacks a rose ribbon and cross necklace. Her shoes, based on Pom-Pom Leg Warmers, are a pair of white laced heels with blue leg warmers. It lacks the laces on top of the leg warmers, ribbons and pom-poms on the front of the heels but gains another pair of pom-poms on the leg warmers instead.

Ball

Love wears an orange Floral Hoop Dress with a slight white gradation and red ribbon decorations. Heels are orange with ribbons on both the front and back of the heels.

Trivia

  • Love, like Miesha and Berry, has her weight listed as "Secret." This is not a new thing for Sega, as they often hide weights for their female characters.
  • An early version of her pajamas, which can be found within in the 1st-2nd Collection ROM or its Japanese equivalent, is of a similar type to Berry's own Pajamas sans the puffy long sleeves and heart patterns. It is seen in one of the early design documents detailing on how the rhythm game could work.
