Valmaric, also called Qenyatic or Qenyarinwa, was a script created for Qenya, the precursor to Quenya, in early versions of J.R.R. Tolkien's legendarium.

Conceptual history

Tolkien invented the Valmaric script in the first half of 1920s, and he described the writing samples as representing three different evolutionary stages (Old, Middle, and Late). Graphically, Valmaric can resemble a midpoint between Sarati and Tengwar.^[1][2]
