Renee Fleming

Renee Fleming is an American soprano singer, known for her recordings on the 2003 film The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, especially for the songs "The End of All Things", "Twilight and Shadow", and "The Grace of Undómiel".

Biography

Fleming was born on February 14, 1959 in Indiana, Pennsylvania to two music teachers, and grew up in Churchville New York. She studied with Patricia Misslin at the Crane School of Music at the State University of New York at Potsdam, and graduated with a Bachelor of Music Education in 1981. For the next several decades, she slowly grew her career in music, until she became very well known for her soprano. Then, in 2002, she accepted Howard Shore's invitation to work with him on The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King. She was a huge asset to them, and was featured in six of their soundtracks: The End of All Things, Twilight and Shadow and The Return of the King (Original Soundtrack) and The Grace Of Undómiel, Mount Doom, The Eagles and The Fellowship Reunited.
