Léod was a Lord of the Éothéod and the father of Eorl the Young.
Biography
During his lordship, the Éothéod once again increased in number and were becoming constrained in the small land in which they lived. He lived in Framsburg between the rivers Greylin and Langwell. He was probably a descendant of the famed Fram, the Dragon-Slayer. Léod was killed trying to tame the horse Felaróf.[1][2] Eorl later captured Felaróf and his species, the Mearas, became bound to his descendants as a weregild for Léod's death.

In adaptations
In The Lord of the Rings Online, Léod appears briefly in a flashback narrating the history of the Éothéod.
