Galweg was an Elf of Nargothrond in earlier versions of J.R.R. Tolkien's legendarium.
History
Galweg was the father of Finduilas (known then as Failivrin) and a friend of Gwindor. He was also a great friend of Túrin, and they often aided one another. Galweg was killed during the fall of Nargothrond and his dwelling was later occupied by the petty-dwarf Mîm, who was killed by Húrin.[1]
Other versions of the legendarium
The character was later discarded by Tolkien, who made Orodreth the father of Finduilas.[2]
