Brânk was an Easterling Gaudrim of Rhûn in the Second Age.
Biography
At the behest of the mysterious dark wizard at Caras Gaer whom he served, Brânk tracked and attempted to capture The Stranger along with the Harfoots Nori Brandyfoot and Poppy Proudfellow. His first attempt failed when the Stranger magically summoned a sandstorm, driving him and his compatriots away.
Brânk and his fellow Gaudrim find the Stoor village and capture both Nori and Poppy who were hiding there. He makes the mistake of threatening Nori while the Dark Wizard was trying to persuade The Stranger to join him. In his anger, the Dark Wizard flung Brânk against the rock wall of the village and killed him.
Behind the scenes
The character was created for The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power and first appears in Season Two, and as such is non-canonical. He is portrayed by Yasen Atour.
