Anson Roper was a Hobbit of the Shire.
Biography
He was born in TA 2961 (SR 1361), and was the only recorded son of Andwise Roper of Tighfield. Little else is known of his life, save that he may have stayed in Tighfield and followed in his father's occupation as a roper. He was the cousin of Samwise Gamgee.[1]
In adaptations
In The Lord of the Rings Online, Anson Roper lives in Tighfield and is indeed in the rope-making business.
