Influences

The piece's first movement, containing Miles's theme, does not play in the episode. Miles's motif follows it. The piece then plays the Temple motif before ending on its own motif, which is a close variation on Locke's Motif.

Variations

The motif from this piece appears in "Trouble Is My First Name".

Title significance

The title comes from Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. Romeo says the line "Death, lie thou there, by a dead man interred" at Juliet's grave. "Lie Thou There" plays when James and Miles are at Juliet's grave.
