The Sword Key is one of the Keys.
History
In 1927, Mary Locke retrieved the Sword Key from the Harlequin Wardrobe and loaned it and its respective sword to Fiddler's Green to use as a weapon to help her battle for her brother's soul. In Hell, he activated the sword and used it to slice through Hacker's damned soul as well as his demonic horse. Once the battle had concluded, Fiddler's Green returned it to Mary.[1]
Its sword was briefly handled by Bode Locke when he moved into Keyhouse in 2011. However, he was distracted by the Ghost Key and quickly forgot about it.[2]
Non-canon history
In the "Only Bad" Alternate Ending, Bode, instead of noticing the Ghost Key, finds the Sword Key, inserts it into the handle and turns it. He then accidentally falls, and the sword slices Bode clean in half, killing him. His bisected body is later discovered by his horrified family.[2]
Uses
When the false pommel of the sword is removed and the Key is inserted into the handle and twisted in, it renders the sword sharp enough to cut through anything with one slice. The sword can even cut through the comic's fourth wall and cut the dialogue balloons. The Key now acts as the sword's pommel.G9
Door
The Hilt of one of the two swords hanging above the fireplace mantel in the Winter Study of Keyhouse Manor. The fake pommel has to be removed first before the Sword Key can be inserted into the hilt.[1][3][2]
