Joseph Hillström King (born June 4, 1972), better known by his pen name Joe Hill, is an American author and comic book writer. He is the writer of the comic book Locke & Key series. He also serves as executive producer for Netflix's adaptation of Locke & Key and cameos as a paramedic.
Biography
When he was 9, Joe Hill played a small role in the 1982 horror film: Creepshow, directed by George A. Romero. Hill (credited as "Joe King") played the boy named Billy in the prologue and epilogue. In those segments Billy gets revenge on his abusive father for throwing away his "Creepshow" horror comic, by ordering a real working Voodoo Doll from one of the comic's mail order advertisements and using it to torment his father. Interestingly, Hill's father Stephen King wrote the original screenplay for the movie and co-stared as the unfortunate protagonist Jody Verill, in the segment called "The Lonesome Death of Jody Verill"; which was based on King's short story "Weeds".
