Swifty is a male cheetah.
When Simba and his friends, Timon and Pumbaa, wandered into Swifty's region, the cheetah cub challenged them to a race. Shortly before the race began, Timon warned the others about incoming poor weather, but Swifty insisted that they follow through on the race anyway. However, when Swifty reached the finish line, lightning caused a fire to ignite at the entrance of a cave, which trapped Swifty inside. With help from Simba, Timon, and Pumbaa, Swifty escaped the fire and became more humble as a result.
Biography
Early life
Swifty lived within or close by the jungle. He developed a talent for running and continually beat other animals in races.[1]

When Simba and his friends, Timon and Pumbaa, drank from a water hole, Swifty approached and introduced himself, bragging that he was the fastest animal in the region. Annoyed, Simba attacked the cheetah but missed. He then challenged Swifty to a race. After insulting the trio, Swifty arranged the race date to be that afternoon and deviously remarked that it would be fun.
Swifty waited for Timon and Pumbaa at the river and expressed anger at them for being late. The three got ready to race until Timon pointed out that a bad storm was approaching. He suggested that they put off the race, but Swifty disagreed and saw Timon's remarks as a way for the trio to escape losing the race. This provoked Simba into participating.
Once the race began, Swifty charged ahead of the others and reached the cave where they had planned to crown the victor. However, lightning ignited the grass at the cave's entrance, trapping Swifty inside. Swifty called for help, and Simba came to his aid but, in doing so, fell into the cave himself. Ultimately, it was Timon and Pumbaa who saved the day. After the rescue, Swifty maintained the opinion that he was the fastest but admitted that Simba was the bravest.[1]
Physical appearance
Swifty is a small and lithe cheetah, with pale yellow fur, brown eyes, a cream underbelly, and a ruff on the back of his neck. His ear tips, lower jaw, and tail tip are white.[1]
Personality and traits
Swifty is arrogant and mischievous. However, he became more humble after Simba, Timon, and Pumbaa saved his life.[1]

- Swifty is similar to Azaad from The Lion Guard; both are arrogant cheetahs who challenge someone to a race, only for their competitor to save their life.[2]
