Rocky Plateau is a location in the Outlands.
History
The Lion Guard
"Swept Away"
When Beshte helps the rest of the Lion Guard rescue a trapped herd of zebras, he is swept into the Outlands by a flash flood. Presently, Beshte begins to suffer under the intense heat and begins to search for shade, singing "Look on the Bright Side" as he goes. Unbeknownst to the hippo, Shupavu the skink and her followers are tracking his progress.
Beshte soon meets up with Shupavu and her group, and he explains to them his plan of reaching the Pride Lands via Rocky Plateau. One of Shupavu's skinks suggests that they take an underground shortcut to the plateau, and Beshte agrees, unaware that the skinks are working with Scar in order to eliminate Beshte.
Beshte proceeds to follow the skinks through a series of underground tunnels, but emerges into a dead end, where Janja and his lackeys, Cheezi and Chungu, start rolling boulders over the side of the plateau in an attempt to crush Beshte. Luckily, the Lion Guard arrives just in time and drives off Janja's crew, and Beshte is free to force his way out of the pit in order to join the rest of the Guard. They then return to the Pride Lands together.
Physical attributes
Rocky Plateau is a large, rough-hewn pit surrounded by large boulders. The pit is connected to a series of underground tunnels and passageways.
