Mbuni is a female ostrich. She is a member of a flock of ostriches in the Pride Lands.
When Bunga became a self-proclaimed sage, Mbuni sought advice from him. Bunga foolishly told her to hide from hyenas by sticking her head in the ground, and the rest of the Lion Guard came to her aid when she got stuck. Later, when Simba saved her flock's eggs from a mudslide, she was greatly appreciative and honored.
