Biography
Early life
Gertie lived in the Pride Lands.[1]
Timon and Pumbaa's safari
When Timon and Pumbaa got caught in quicksand, Gertie arrived and saved them. Later, she served as the transportation for Timon and Pumbaa as they showed the viewers around the Pride Lands. At the end of the tour, she spoke to Timon, which greatly surprised him. Pumbaa then asked her on a date, and she laughed.[1]
Physical appearance
Gertie is a large elephant. She has gray skin, with pink inner ears, long white tusks, and black eyes.[1]
Personality and traits
Gertie is afraid of mice. According to Pumbaa, she has a good memory because she is an elephant. She is fairly quiet and rarely talks, which resulted in Timon being surprised that she knew how to speak.[1]

- Gertie was voiced by Tress MacNeille.[2]
- MacNeille also voiced Shenzi in The Lion King's Timon & Pumbaa, Simba's Mighty Adventure, and Kingdom Hearts II as well as the jeweler's wife, Rita Book, and Tatiana in The Lion King's Timon & Pumbaa.[2]
