Utamu (Event) is celebrated during the Rainy Season where Bunga, Timon and Pumbaa all celebrate the day they found Bunga.

History

The Search for Utamu

When Bunga was a cub he was lonely and never knew his real

family until he saw Timon and Pumbaa walking near Mapema Rock. Baby Bunga walks up to them and tries to follow them. He even got them grubs to eat. Pumbaa thought that Bunga was so cute and wanted to keep him. When Timon reminded him that they already raised a lion. Timon then asks Baby Bunga to climb the Utamu Tree and get the rare Utamu (grub). Baby Bunga climbs the tree and gets the grubs and then Timon decides to keep him. During present day Bunga tries to get the Utamu grubs again. However the tree starts to break and Ono spots Mzingo's Parliament up to know good. Bunga's sad that he didn't get the Utamu and goes with the Lion Guard to stop the Vultures.

After stopping the vultures everyone goes to Hakuna Matata Falls and Timon and Pumbaa explain. They said that they celebrate because they day they got the Utamu was the day they met Bunga. Everyone hugs and Timon and Pumbaa opens a tree truck and shows Bunga the Utamu. Bunga, Timon and Pumbaa all enjoy the Utamu grubs together.

Return to the Pride Lands

When Bunga and the Lion Guard come home from the Tree of Life, Bunga eats the Utamu grubs with Timon and Pumbaa. Pumbaa accidentally eats Timon and Bunga pulls him out of Pumbaa's mouth.
