Well, you don’t need me to tell you what a rollercoaster ride the last few months has been. Let’s remember how at the start of last year a survey was all we had to show for the interest in the LoK franchise. Oh how the tables have turned and the fandom has been inundated with new projects and merchandise the like of which hasn’t been seen for 20 years. LoK is back and going strong.

Of course the big news in terms of gaming was the release of Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1 & 2 Remastered, directed by our own Raina Audron which landed in December to a generally favourable reception and positive sales figures - hang on that bears repeating - for the first time in more than 20 years an LoK game was officially released and it was good. Be honest, how many of you thought you’d never hear those words?

The remaster comes with something of a dream of a feature set for LoK enthusiasts. Of course the graphics, textures and character models were updated, of course the controls were updated, of course…
