Season 1

Season 1 is the first season of the NBC original series, La Brea. It begin airing on September 28 and has concluded on November 30, 2021.

On November 12, 2021, it was announced that NBC has renewed the series for a second season.[1]

Synopsis

An epic adventure begins when a massive sinkhole opens in the middle of Los Angeles, pulling hundreds of people and buildings into its depths. Those who fell in find themselves in a mysterious and dangerous primeval land, where they have no choice but to band together to survive. Meanwhile, the rest of the world desperately seeks to understand what happened. In the search for answers, one family torn apart by this disaster will have to unlock the secrets of this inexplicable event to find a way back to each other.

Notes and Trivia

  • The season was produced and filmed in Melbourne, Australia.
  • The series was greenlit on January 15, 2020.
  • When the series regulars were released from their contracts during the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic, NBC chose to only extend Natalie Zea and Zyra Gorecki's contracts over the seven-month quarantine, in which very few shows were filming. Subsequently, eleven main stars and at least two guest stars were recast.
