Summary
Ran follows Airavata, Yaksha, and a brown-haired nastika into the city. Airavata tells him that this city is under the protection of Agni but more than that, it was even able to repel the attack of Ravana.
As Airavata and the brown-hair go ahead, Yaksha drags Ran aside and advises him to keep pretending he is a rakshasa. Two children want to play with Yaksha's fluffy tail and he lets them, as he enjoys the presence of pure children.
Yaksha explains that the ancient humans originally awakened the memories of their past lives in a coming of age ceremony at a specified age which allowed them to live an undisturbed life first and then reflect on their former lives and move on.
However, the humans have increasingly begun to awaken on their own, with no ceremony. And what's worse, they awaken at an earlier and earlier age. Sometimes it happens that a child at birth is already awoken and asking for money and prestige. Ran notes that the awoken children around feel like hundreds of Ashas to him.
As a result of premature awakening, humans are no longer able to properly distinguish between their lives and their roles in life and all their experience is becoming a single mass. Yaksha fears a time when even the pure children disappear. He knows the reason why this is happening and believes he could stop it but before he can explain himself, Airavata calls Yaksha and Ran over.
The brown-hair, Airavata, and Ran enjoy their meals at a restaurant while Yaksha chooses to starve. When the brown-hair notes that Ran is fine with vegetables, Yaksha explains that this is because he is a descendant of Hanuman, who is not picky with food either. Ran wonders how Yaksha could know that, if that was because of his heart, and if Yaksha knows everything entirely.
Transcendentals hit the city defenses. At first the nastikas consider watching with curiosity how Ravana's next attempt will be repelled, but they soon notice that she came with Asura and Gandharva as reinforcements and decide that they will need to step in.
Currygom's comment
What Yaksha is holding is an empty pipe. He is not smoking.

(pic 1: Airavata with Ice Cream) This is green apple flavor
Someone asked if I like mint chocolate chip, but why??? I didn't draw any chocolate. I would eat mint flavor if someone else buys it for me but I wouldn't spend my own money on it. My favorite is "Twinberry Cheesecake". If you see someone buying a half gallon filled with only Twinberry there's a chance that it might be me.
(pic 2: Ananta with a lollipop) This is melon flavor
There seems to be some confusion on their eye color. If the color correction is removed they are deep pink with gold mixed in.
(pic 3: Yaksha with children) Twins who listen to what they're told
I kind of like this panel more than the properly drawn panel before it LOL
(pic 4: Airavata forcing Yaksha to eat) They say even shoes taste good when fried*, trust me
Airvata appears in her late teens and Yaksha in his early teens.
*T/N: Some well-known Korean chef said anything tastes good when fried, even shoes, which became a meme
