Sardath is a Rannian captain of his spaceship and acquaintance of Adam Strange.
Biography
At some point, Adam Strange stole his Zeta Beam device and disappeared on several years. He then used it to travel back in time to the Krypton's past to warn Seg-El to save his planet and his grandson, Kal-El, who will become a hero known as Superman. After his contact with Seg, the device was running out of energy and was transported to Sardath's spaceship. Sardath accused him for his theft, but Adam said that he borrowed it. Sardath told him that the device has the potential to tear apart the space and time in which could potentially lead to severe alteration or deletion of timeline. Adam wanted to return it, but has a difficulty to track a time, also telling him that he found an alien threat who wanted to stop the birth of Kal-El. When Sardath heard his name, he initially thought to find someone to take care of it, but Adam convinced him that he is the only chance to save him and Krypton. Sardath was unsure of it, but his daughter Alanna opined that he should have another chance; agreeing with her, they transported him back to Krypton's past.

Trivia
- In DC comics, Sardath is Adam Strange's ally coming from the planet Rann and inventor of Zeta Ray device in which Strange teleports across the galaxy and to Sardath's homeworld. He has a daughter Alanna who becomes Adam's love interest. He, along with Alanna, first appeared in Showcase #17 (November 1958) by Gardner Fox and Mike Sekowsky.
