Yulhee (율희) is a South Korean media personality and former singer and dancer under HighBeam Studio. She is a former member of the girl group LABOUM.

Early life

Yulhee was born in Bucheon, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. She is the oldest of three children, with a younger sister and brother.

Career

2014–2017: LABOUM

She debuted as the maknae of LABOUM in August 28, 2014, with the group's first release "Petit Macaron".

On November 3, 2017, Global H announced that Yulhee would be departing the group and agency due she no longer wishes to be in the entertainment industry and her contract with them has been terminated.^[1]

2018–2020: Mr. House Husband

On November 28, 2018, it was revealed she and her family would join the cast of the show Mr. House Husband starting on December 5, 2018.^[2]

On February 24, 2020, it was confirmed that their family will step down from the program Mr. House Husband, with their last episode set to air on February 26.^[3]

2020–present: YouTube

On April 5, 2020, Yulhee started her YouTube channel with her own series “Yulhee’s House” that shows the journey of her second pregnancy.^[4]

Relationship and family

On September 21, 2017, news outlets reported that Yulhee and FTISLAND's Choi Min Hwan were in a relationship due to a series of images of both affectionately posing that were reportedly uploaded to Yulhee's social media account.^[5] A day later, FNC Entertainment confirmed the reports.^[6]

On January 4, 2018, Choi Min Hwan announced his upcoming marriage through a post on Instagram.^[7] The same day, a media source reported that Yulhee is pregnant, FNC Entertainment stated that they are currently checking to see if the rumors of pregnancy are true.^[8]

On May 9, 2018, Choi Min Hwan wrote a letter on FTISLAND's official fancafe announcing Yulhee's pregnancy.^[9] On May 28, 2018, it was announced that she gave birth to a son.^[10]

They held their private wedding on October 19, 2018.^[11]

On the August 28, 2019 broadcast of Mr. House Husband, Yulhee confirmed her second pregnancy with twins.^[12] On February 11, 2020, it was announced that she had given birth to twin daughters.^[13]

On December 4, 2023, the couple announced their divorce. Minhwan obtained the custody of their children.^[14]

On October 24, 2024, Yulhee revealed through her YouTube channel that the decisive reason for her divorce was Minhwan's visits to adult entertainment establishments. FNC Entertainment stated that it is difficult to confirm details of personal matters related to marital issues, however, Minhwan will be stepping down from The Return of Superman where he appeared with his children.^[15]
