White Day Project (화이트데이프로젝트) was a trainee group under WD Entertainment The trainees introduced through this project had a chance of becoming Whiteday members.[1]
The project was abandoned sometime in October 2020 and WD Entertainment moved onto beginning a new trainee project.
History
2019-2020
On October 21, 2020, WD Entertainment announced that Whiteday would be disbanding following the departures of Yujung and Jihye h due to health and personal reasons. As a result, White Day Project was also dismantled.[2] Their social media accounts were deleted on October 28, 2020.[2]
Aftermath
On February 15, WD Entertainment revealed Eunji, the member of Whiteday who remained with the agency, as the first member of their newest trainee group, WizarD.[3] The same day, it was revealed that Park Hayung and Kim Dohyun had also become members of WizarD.[4][5]
On March 8, 2021, it was revealed that Jihye, who departed from the agency, had now joined CUP Entertainment and was a member of their pre-debut girl group, G.I.G, under the stage name 'GN'.[6]
On July 18, 2021, Lee Yiman was revealed as a contestant on Mnet's newest reality show, Girls Planet 999.[7][8]
